Control4 My Home for iPad
Control4 home automation solutions let you easily manage your security system, lights, home entertainment, thermostat and various other electronics…from your iPad!
Once you’re up and running, you can use your iPad as an interface to your Control4® system to create custom lighting scenes; to conveniently control entertainment systems; or to take advantage of energy savings with programmable thermostats and other ‘green’ settings. If you’ve already experienced mobile control using your iPhone or iPod Touch, you’ll be even more impressed by the iPad app which is specially designed to take advantage of the larger screen size making it even easier to manage your home.
Later in the year, you’ll be able to use Control4 My Home in conjunction with a Control4® 4Sight remote monitoring subscription to turn lights on and off, lock or unlock doors, or access IP video cameras and security systems from the Internet, providing increased home security and peace of mind.

4Store is the first app store designed specifically for the smart home and offers individual applications that can be integrated with multiple household devices. 4Store gives Control4 customers the option to download apps that serve a wide variety of functions – from Facebook to online dinner reservations to customizing Kwikset deadbolt locks to controlling energy usage with Eaton outlet monitors. 4Store applications fall into four general types: Enhanced Home Control, Information, Social & Entertainment, and User Interface Customization.
Enhanced Home Control Apps – Many apps are designed specifically to enhance the control of third party devices that are installed in the house. Apps being shown at CES include:
- Pioneer - Set advanced receiver properties such as zone volume, inputs and easy tuner control.
- Eaton – Enable advanced power monitoring and on and off capabilities for outlets.
- Peak Software TED Energy Monitor for Control4 - Use The Energy Detective TED 5000 to monitor energy usage in your home, including real-time and historical usage and built-in rate structure support.
- CardAccess Home Tracker - Allows homeowners to monitor important aspects of the home like lighting and temperature, in a floor plan topology. Additionally, by tapping into Card Access motion detectors, homeowners can monitor occupancy of the house via the same floor plan.
- Kwikset - Easily manage your Kwikset ZigBee deadbolt by creating unique lock codes for temporary access or for individual family and friends, view status of locks and view history for any lock in your home.
